The exceptional aromatic qualities of Sauvignon make it one of the most appreciated varieties of grape by consumers around the world. From this recognition the idea for a Concours Mondial was born open to all producing regions from both hemispheres.
Organised jointly by the ODG of Bordeaux, Bordeaux Supérieur, and the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, the Sauvignon Concours Mondial will launch its first edition the 25th and 26th of June 2010 during the Bordeaux Wine festival.

Present on the international scene, the Sauvignon grape enjoys recognition and popularity among professionals and consumers alike.
This competition is aimed at:
- favouring the promotion of good quality wines from the Sauvignon grape,
- encouraging their production and stimulating reasonable consumption,
- familiarising the public with the richness and diversity of this grape.
